Hi! I’m Taro, the creator of Japan Real Talk.
I’m Japanese and have lived in Japan for over 46 years — that’s most of my life.
This blog is not written from a tourist viewpoint. It’s based on a lifetime of daily living here, seeing how people interact, how culture works in real life, and what truly matters beyond the cliché images of Japan.
Because I live here every day — going to the corner stores, dining at local restaurants, commuting on trains, and chatting with friends and neighbors — I share a perspective that short-term guides and travel content cannot capture.
